Students’ Nobel NightCap
Since 1978
The evening the Nobel Banquet becomes a party. Every December since 1978, 1,300 invited guests, four universities — organised entirely by students.
Nobel Week
There is one night of Nobel Week that is never photographed, never broadcast, and never repeated.
Ours is the one that starts at midnight.
On 10 December 1978, an SSE student named Mats Nyqvist decided the Banquet ended too early. Every December since, laureates and their guests have crossed the city to whichever of Stockholm’s four universities is hosting that year — to a theme that is never announced at all.
One night, one guest list, and a year of anticipation around it.

The night
A university transformed for one night
Stockholm’s four universities take turns hosting, one every fourth year — Stockholm University, KTH, Karolinska Institutet and the Stockholm School of Economics. In 2026 it returns to SSE, where it was last held in 2022, and the building is rebuilt over two weeks to a theme nobody outside the crew has seen.

Be the name on the night
Sponsorship of SNNC is not a logo placement. It is association with the only evening of Nobel Week where laureates, industry and the next generation are in the same room without the press.
